Kundan Jewellery: Few Tips For Retaining The Exquisite Beauty

Kundan jewellery is one of the most traditional forms of Indian jewellery alongside it is also one of the jewellery style that has gained immense popularity during contemporary times. All women irrespective of age like to wear kundan jewellery. A collage going lass to a busy corporate woman to a middle aged homemaker, every woman has a fascination towards kundan ornaments and will surely have atleast few set of kundan necklace or kundan earrings in their jewellery box. Now, with the increasing popularity of buying kundan jewellery online women are more into the practice of buying newer designs of ornaments to highlight on their precious beauty. So, the more the scope of kundal jewellery online shopping will get enhanced the aura of this traditionally designed jewellery. It is great to possess kundan but at the same time it is really important to take proper care of the jewellery otherwise the exquisite beauty of kundan might diminish with time.

Here are few tips for taking care of kundan earrings, necklaces and other buys you made during a kundan jewellery online shopping spree.

• If you are keeping your set of kundan ornaments along with other jewelries in the same jewelry box then be absolutely careful as kundan might react with other metals and in that case both the jewelries will lose their charm and appeal. Therefore, it is better to put the kundan jewelries into a zip pouch or wrap it in a soft material so that its beauty remains intact for a long time.

• Don’t put lots of pressure on the jewelry by keeping all jewelries clamped on each other. This might cause breakage of the jewellery.

• If you have a shortage of space for placing the jewelry then just put them in layers and use cotton wool as separators and you can even put them apart in plastic bags.

• It is better to keep the ornaments in air tight place as humidity can defile the colour and shine of the jewelry.

 • Never spray any dye, body spray, perfume or any other chemical on the ornaments as that will make the jewelry appear dull.

• Never allow the kundan come in direct contact with water or dampness in any form as that will blacken the stone or enamel in the piece.

• Even if the jewelry’s shine diminishes and it become dark, doesn’t use soapy water instead use erasers on the dark parts and try erasing out the speck of dirt from there. If it is still not going then it is better to take it to a jewelry shop for polishing and the beauty will be renewed eventually.
